Thread veins can appear for a number of reasons such as genetics, trauma to the skin such as a wound, lifestyle choices such as being overweight, inactive, sitting for long periods of time, exposure to the sun and during pregnancy.

Thread veins & spider naevus is treated by IPL. The treatment can be a little uncomfortable but not painful. The treated area will feel warm during this process and for a short time afterwards.

You might need to return for some follow-up treatment, normally around 4 weeks apart.
